The Underground runs on four rules.
Everything else is allowed.
Horror that goes too far. Politics. God. The thing you publish under another name. Strange is the point.
The four
Drop the link, ask for the sale. Nobody here is embarrassed about money. Be a person in here too. Nobody's counting your ratio.
Call a business model parasitic. Cuss while you do it. The line is people: no slurs, no threats, no posting somebody's private life. “Your book is bad, and you're a fucking grifter, here's why” is fine forever.
If you report someone for being harsh about your work, I'm going to tell you they were allowed to be. Report a slur or a threat, I look.
Your writing, your art, your product. Not somebody else's with the name filed off.
No scams, no phishing, no wallet nonsense, no pretending to be somebody else.
Three things end an account
Sexual content involving minors. Threats of violence. Posting somebody's private information. No warning. The first one goes to the authorities, because the law gives me no choice and I wouldn't want one.
Block them yourself
The ··· menu on any post has Block.
Doesn't need my permission.
One person runs this room
Me. By hand, on purpose. I read everything eventually. Not today. I'm not promising you a response time I'd miss.
Something's wrong, hit Report. That's what actually reaches me, and you'll hear back either way.
If I take something down
I'll tell you which rule and why. No form letter pointing at “our policies.” Got it wrong? Say so. I've been wrong before.
