Agent T.W. Lee
Agent T.W. Lee comes on at one in the morning on weeknights, right after Dale clears out, and reads you the numbers. Lee claims a posting with Interzone Intelligence, an outfit that does not answer mail and has never confirmed Lee draws a check from it. The numbers, read out in a clipped flat cadence, decode into library books, if you have the right edition and the patience to sit with a pencil until the sun comes up. People have done it. People have driven to the branch listed and found the book waiting on the hold shelf under a name they never gave. Mixed in with the call signs are gate instructions and warnings about assets the Agency has not yet identified, which is a chilling way to put it at one a.m. Lee closes every broadcast the same way, dry as a field report. Roll the bones and send no clone.
