On My Mind 002

My meat noodle is aflutter with delight.
Since I've begun revamping my site, adjusting my signal, and dialing in on what makes me happy, I've found that my synapses have begun to fire like a Dodge Hellcat 6.2-liter HEMI V8.
I've got more ideas coming at me faster than I can keep up with most of the time. It's amazing what eliminating the churn that is walled garden social media and kicking conglomerate software to the curb can do.
You would not believe how many drafts I have waiting to be fleshed out, the number of notes I've typed for later use, or the ideas I've had for digital products.
Finding the time to do them all is the problem now, but that's a really nice problem to have.
I'm getting back to my roots. It's an indie, open source life for me!
I can't seem to find a job to save my life.
I haven't really made it common knowledge, but I lost my job back at the beginning of June.
There's a story behind it, but it's really not worth rehashing. Just your standard corporate BS.
The real frustration is that I've once again applied for over 250+ jobs based on my email's application folder count.
How many have I heard back from? One.
How many have I had an interview for? One.
It's very frustrating since I have a lot of experience in a wide swath of industries. I've even taken the time to send focused resumes, which takes a lot of time. I honestly can't figure out why I'm not getting more callbacks, and I can't pay anyone to help me out.
At this point, I'd settle for delivering pizzas again.
It's beginning to look more and more like the US is becoming a full on police state.
I find this particularly disturbing because I'm married to wonderful, beautiful, sometimes extremely loud, Cubana. Luckily, she has done all the paperwork necessary that should preclude her from any sort of deportation attempt, but who the hell knows with the way things are going?
The laws governing such matters are looking more and more like an option as opposed to the rule that must be followed if the government wants to ignore it.
I have no love of politicians, regardless of their place on the political spectrum. All they seem to engage in is performative theatrics and seek to dissolve freedoms no matter what side they play for. It's clear to me that they're all in it for the money and the power.
Come to think of it, politicians are the biggest criminals we have in the US. Can we deport them?
This might be my favorite post of the week over on Mastodon:
