How to -10x Your Subscribers and Lose $10K in the Process!
Bold claims must be supported by bold evidence.
I get it. I do. You want to be a success. So, you make a big claim.
Too bad it’s a lie… and it will cost you.
Jump on X or YouTube or any other place where entrepreneurs are and you’ll find these claims.
The thing to be cognizant of is… well… it’s bullshit.
I can’t put it any other way or I would, but one thing I loathe more than anything else in the world is a liar.
Especially when the lie is meant to get you to give them your hard earned money for an empty promise.
That’s not to say some processes don’t work.
Many do, but I’ve yet to find one that delivers on the promise of overnight success as advertised.
They all take work, fine-tuning, adapting your strategies, innovating new approaches, etc.
But oh, these gurus know psychology well enough to realize you desperately want or need change in your life, so they tell you pretty lies so they get what they want: your money.
I prefer ugly truths.
They don’t sell as well, but they sell for a much longer period of time.
Let me give you some ugly truths that will actually help you succeed.
- You have to put in the work.
- You have to show up, every day.
- It won’t be as easy or quick as you want.
- It will be worth it.
Do you know the #1 most important thing you must have with your audience in order to make sales and keep them coming back for more?
I can tell you right now, it’s not making up bold claims (i.e. lies) just to push your product on them.
It’s not even giving them things for free.
It’s trust.
You can lose that trust by not solving their problems, not providing value, or, you guessed it, selling them a lie with a product that doesn’t deliver.
Your every day, common working person realizes when they’ve been conned. They’re not stupid. You might get that initial sale from them, but you won’t get another.
Why do you think so many creators push the “high ticket” price and constantly push this advice of “your customers want you to charge them more?”
There are going to be so many creators out there that disagree with me on my thinking here.
They will trot out the proof that they’re right.
They will cite prominent creators that have succeeded.
They will come up with the proof that justifies their desire to charge more for much less than promised.
The bottom line… I don’t care.
I will not sacrifice my ethics to make a dollar from someone who is desperate to be able to keep their lights on or feed their children.
I will charge a fair price.
That doesn’t make me cheap.
It makes me affordable… and honest.
I will earn their trust.
I will deliver great value.
And they will come back to me long after they’ve bought that “high ticket” product.
I don’t play the short game.
I play to make readers for life.
How are you going to play the game?
Thanks for reading!
