One $2 product feels like nothing. So does the second. So does the fifth, parked there on a slow Tuesday, moving a copy or two and going dark again.
Then somewhere around the fifteenth, the whole thing changes shape. The shelf stops being a pile of files and starts feeding itself. A buyer finds one guide, sees four more, comes back next week, forwards a link to a friend carrying a different problem. You did nothing new that week. The catalog did it without you.
Five, fifteen, thirty. Those numbers are not arbitrary and they are not motivational. Each one behaves differently, and thirty is where the model quits feeling like effort and starts feeling like infrastructure. This lesson is the architecture that gets you there, and the reason month three will lie straight to your face about whether any of it is working.
