Six Kilo Kowboy arrived without a body, a face, or a hometown. The label signed an interdimensional entity, against the advice of nobody, because nobody warned us. The deal came through the tower between universes the same week we reopened, a standard recording agreement with the artist line already filled in. We countersigned. We regret the paperwork. There are no members, no sessions, no masters in any format our gear can read, and yet there are royalty statements, and they balance to the penny every quarter, which is the part that keeps the bookkeeper up. The contract has a clause on page four that none of us wrote and none of us can remove. It renews itself. We have stopped trying to reach legal about it.
